Dear PFPC Church Family,
We hope that you and your entire family are doing well. These last few months have presented us with a remarkable challenge. We are grateful for all your prayers and for all the work that has been done to continue to provide us with a worship service.
We are still in Phase I and utilizing Zoom teleconferencing to provide our worship service. Currently Rev. Kissel-Ito delivers the service from her home with the technical assistance of her husband.
We eagerly anticipate reopening but are committed to doing so in the most responsible manner possible. We have focused on three areas – the demographics of our congregation, the available space and our technology, and our current pastoral situation.
Fortunately, Cox has upgraded our system and we have WiFi access in the sanctuary. This will enable us to enter our Phase 2, which would be broadcasting through Zoom in the sanctuary. At that time, the only people in the sanctuary would be Rev. Kissel-Ito, Melody Raef, and technical support. We hope to enter Phase 2 in the next few weeks.
We continue to plan for Phase 3, which would have many new policies in place. These will be based upon the Governor’s regulations and the guidelines from the CDC as they are known at that time. A number of new requirements will need to be in place, including the mandatory wearing of masks, limited seating, social distancing, the removal of hymnals and Bibles, sanitation requirements and much more. Presently there is no timeline developed for when Phase 3 will occur.
Thank you for your continued patience as we all make adjustments to our changing world.
Prayers and blessings,
